I am in constant awe of my surroundings on Vancouver Island and it shows in my work. But there's also a sense of whimsy, and dream-like qualities, a flowing nature and I love to lead the eye in and out of a piece. Drawing, painting and epoxy are my areas of expertise. I have a very distinct style that's formed over the years and now very recognizable to others though it's always growing, evolving and changing.

My medium is oils on canvas but earlier work was acrylic on canvas. I’m a realist and love painting the outdoors. Through this time of Covid I started my “something new” by painting all our fur babies in the family.

Experience 'I’TUSTO - Rising Again', featuring a wide selection of Northwest Coast Art by internationally renowned artist Calvin Hunt. Offering works that reflect the power of contemporary Kwakwaka’wakw art, ceremony, identity, and spirituality, this inspiring exhibition and sale opens with songs and dances by Calvin’s dance group the Copper Maker Dancers and Karver Everson. I am a commercial artist that enjoys a wide range of art disciplines from life drawing, acrylic painting, watercolour, and computerized digital art. I have been recently been concentrating on sculpture, exploring the medium of chicken wire. My subjects are figurative, primarily full sized female forms.

Drum kit performer/educator/researcher Beau Stocker's interest in the sounds of acoustic instruments has informed the adaptation of such ideas to electronic instruments. This session will be a combination of demonstration and explanation of Beau's adaptation of acoustic instruments to electronics for use in the virtual world.

I am an artist and art and gardening teacher. I live and teach out of a 900 square foot windmill and have a Studio out of the back. I'm passionate about flowers, mushrooms, forests and living sustainably. I want to do my part to protect salmon estuaries and old growth forests. I work primarily in fluid acrylics and mixed media but have an arts degree in printmaking. I have been teaching art from grade 1-12 for over 25 years.

10 AM-Noon : Introduction to creating sculptures with chicken wire with Cathouse Gallery
Starting off creating a wire fairy and angel from kits. Moving on to showing how to work with larger pieces up to full sized human forms. We will explore the nature of chicken wire and how to work with its strengths and weaknesses and what tools are recommended. I will have a couple of full sized items in the shop and I will go over what techniques I used to produce a variety of effects. *** $20, click to get your ticket!

Heather Soos
Heather specializes in creating fine art that portrays wildlife and the natural world. She uses various mediums, including acrylic, oil and scratchboard, in the style of detailed realism. Each piece aims to portray the character of the subject with authenticity and artistry. Subjects range from birds and large mammals to arachnids. 4pm Ashley Sykes Denhaan
Ashley Sykes is a Comox Valley singer/songwriter, recording artist, and music instructor, currently teaching ukulele with Motif Music Studios and enjoying connecting with beginner students of all ages through online lessons.
For this session, she plans to share a blend of all her favourite songs. She will start at 4pm with some lively songs for little people to sing along to (hoping to see some familiar faces). She will then entertain with some original songs and some favourite covers that she’ll perform on guitar, ukulele, and piano.

These days Chad Pab might be best known for being the upright bass player that seems to take part in every group in the Comox Valley. But in addition to backing up other artists he also enjoys performing as a solo act.
