Whimsical art for the young at heart! Creating cute things that bring visual joy to people’s lives is what artist Naomi teWinkel (aka SuperArtGirl) is all about. Inspired by the whimsical world of Dr.Seuss, Naomi’s passion is to create, and her home and studio reflect this. She loves transforming old things, from pieces of furniture, to larger things (like trailers and houses) and turning them into works of art. She comes by the name “super” honestly.
She has a wide range of artistic mediums that she uses including: acrylic, paper mache, watercolors, two part clay, wood, digital design, and collage. She has illustrated two children’s books and is currently working on her third.
Come and visit her bright and fun studio space in Comox where she hosts a variety of different art classes, and a separate gallery where you can make art purchases. She is often doing daily art challenges online and sharing her work which she hopes to bring some inspiration, encouragement and a smile to anyone that happens upon them.
