About the studio:
I have been an architectural and structural draftsperson, worked on ranches, followed an assortment of adventures in my life; but my main course has always been my art, painting, drawing, photography, graphics, murals, screen print.
Recently, I have discovered copper plate etching, which, in its rich detail, has taken me back to my origin of drawing and line-work.
I feel we are often disconnected from the physical world around us, and so often from each other. My art is a drive to understand our lives within our environment. Sometimes it is just a celebration of this world, still a beautiful place in which to live.
Whether it is creating an emotional experience or moving into new ground, I believe an artist’s role is to provide a different point of view, to take the ordinary and re-present it.
Just a little note about parking at my studio, during the studio tour, – the driveway is a loop, so parking in the middle of it kind of messes up traffic. There is angle parking along the fence beside the driveway that should leave room for everybody.
Also please be aware that Langlois Rd is used by moms with baby carriages, deer, bear, dogs, cyclists and not so old or so little ladies and gents out for a stroll. The speed limit is 60 km but considerate drivers slow way down for folks on the road. Thanks.
What’s happening on the tour weekend:
On Friday Night 7 pm to 9:30 pm, I’m having a little entertainment to go with the huge round up of my art in person and for sale (the art I mean.)

There are paintings never before seen, etchings in plenty, and lots of cards, postcards, and 8.5 X 11 reproductions (commercially printed) ready to go home with folks.
