Channing Holland, is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art with a major in Drawing and Painting. She is also also a current Studio member of the Comox Valley Printmaking Association together with her studio guest artists, Terri Stelfox, a graduate of North Island College and Emily Carr University of Art and Design and Maggie Norman, a student of North Island College Fine Arts.
Terri is a Printmaker and Printing Tech, in addition to working in watercolour and pastels. Maggie Norman is a Printmaker and Visual Artist working in drawing and watercolours. Together we spend our Saturdays experimenting in my home studio with painting and printmaking techniques …anything from alcohol inks to ecoprinting, Tetra Pack printing to marbling paper, bookbinding to Kitchen Lithography as well as Solar Printing and painting with acrylics. We comb the internet for new, interesting and challenging art processes and procedures and then we have teaching sessions where we experiment and share these techniques with each other. During our Studio Tour weekend we hope to show and share the results of these sessions with our visitors and in addition, offer our work for purchase.
